Overview

Legend of Himalayan Trek and Expedition: offer 25days mt Amadablam Expedition,

Ama Dablam is probably one of the most beautiful mountains in the world and one of the most impressive in the Himalayas. It rises defiantly with its 6,856 metres to delight us with breathtaking views of its famous neighbors such as Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Everest.  Ama Dablam Expedition is one of the more adventurous mountaineering experiences in the Everest region, yet the expedition is relatively much safer than the other expedition routes in the region. The journey to Ama Dablam begins with a spectacular flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. On route, you see some of the tallest mountains in the world gliding underneath while you soar high in the sky. Initially, we follow the trail of the iconic Everest Base Camp trek then part ways to ascend Ama Dablam.

The term “Ama ” means Mother and “Dablam ” meaning a sacred ornament box worn by the women in the Sherpa community. Collectively Ama Dablam means Mother’s necklace which gets its name from the long ridges on each side of the mountain, like the arms of a mother protecting her child and glacier hanging from its south considered as a Dablam. Mount Ama Dablam was first ascended by a team consisting of Mike Gill, Barry Bishop, Mike Ward and Wally Romaes in 1961.

Ama Dablam Expedition offers stunning views of some of the world’s tallest mountains like Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu and more. To embark on this expedition, the person attempting the trek should be mentally and physically fit. Furthermore, a fair bit of mountain trekking experience is required. Despite all its challenges, the expedition offers some breathtaking views of the surrounding massifs, along with the opportunity to explore the rural mountain life of Sherpas – natives to the land. The sharply pointed shape of Ama Dablam makes it an appealing peak to ascend for many climbers.

Best Season

The Best Season to embark on this expedition is in the Autumn Season (September to mid-November) during which the skies are clear, offering unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains, and you get the best views of the mountains. Spring is also great for this expedition.
