Lhotse is the 4th tallest mountain in the world with an incredible height of 8516 metres. The Lhotse Expeditions benefits from the development and infrastructures of Everest Expedition and Everest Base Camp trek. Some climbers tend to utilise this and attempt for a Triple Ascend of Lhotse, Nuptse and Everest in one. 

Mount Lhotse is situated at the border of Nepal and Tibet, about 3 kilometers South-East of Mount Everest. Lhotse mainly has three summits: Lhotse Main (8516 metres), Lhotse Shar (8383 metres) and Lhotse Middle (8413 metres). Lhotse Main was first ascended by the team of Fritz Luchsinger and Ernst Reiss on 18th May 1956. Lhotse can be ascended via Everest Base Camp or via Chhukung. You would have to part from the traditional Everest Base Camp at Dingboche to reach Chhukung and continue through Island Peak Base Camp to Lhotse Base Camp.
